Ukrainian Forces Launches Large-Scale Manufacturing of New Defensive Drones

Ukraine has announced the start of mass production for an innovative domestically developed interceptor drone to strengthen its air defences. Three initial manufacturers have begun production, with 11 more preparing to set up assembly lines, the defence ministry announced on Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Proven in Battlefield Conditions

The drones utilize a domestically developed technology known as “Octopus” designed to intercept Iranian-made drones. The system underwent testing in combat and proved effective “at night, amid electronic warfare and flying low,” officials confirmed. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set a target of manufacturing up to 1,000 interceptors each day.

Latest Assault on the Capital Characterized as Deliberate

Volodymyr Zelenskyy characterized Moscow's most recent assault against Ukraine as “deliberate, calculated and brutal” after six individuals lost their lives and dozens wounded in a series of night-time strikes throughout Kyiv. Alert systems activated in Kyiv just after 12 AM on Friday, with enemy UAVs quickly detected overhead and heavy machine-gun fire from Ukrainian air defences.

Russia intends to manufacture as many as 120,000 guided aerial bombs in the current year, a high-ranking Ukrainian defense official disclosed, among them 500 of an innovative, extended-range model that is capable of targeting additional urban centers. Russian forces were firing hundreds of glide bombs per day, with last month’s average daily usage standing at about 170, according to official military statistics.

Ukrainian Strikes Focus on Moscow's Oil Facilities

Moscow's maritime terminal of the port city halted for a period oil exports this past Friday – representing two percent of global supply – after a Ukrainian missile and drone attack. Zelenskyy Schedules Diplomatic Trip to Spain

Volodymyr Zelenskyy is scheduled to travel to the Spanish capital, Madrid, next Tuesday to meet with lawmakers a day after his trip to France, the chamber of deputies disclosed. The Ukrainian president will convene with deputies from all houses of parliament throughout his stay, an official announcement confirmed.
