The Reform UK leader Accuses Educators of ‘Poisoning Our Kids’ on Racial Topics

Nigel Farage has asserted that educators would initiate walkouts shortly after a success at the polls for his party, charging that they are “harming young minds” by telling students that black pupils are victims and Caucasian students are perpetrators.

During an event for a private US Christian college, Farage outlined his perspective on British schools, claiming that the “radical left-wing” had “taken over schooling”.

“I expect a teachers’ strike very quickly after winning the next general election,” he remarked in response to questions.

“They are corrupting young minds. They instruct children to be ashamed of their country. They are telling an eight-year-old black child that he is a victim and little Oliver, who is white, who is eight that he is a perpetrator. They create division, not uniting us. They promote this negative culture.”

Reacting to these assertions, the head of a major education union dismissed the idea that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “absurd”. He pointed out that any strikes must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and doubted whether Reform would attack these immediately upon entering government.

“The politician has crafted his political career on dog-whistle politics and now, like Trump, he is lining up teachers and their unions for a conflict,” the union leader said.

“This is highly reckless. I don’t – and nor does my union – push critical race theory as he claims … Should he become prime minister he would sell out our public services, including education … and he would be a disaster for education and children.”

The party, which tops surveys by about 10 points, has provided limited specifics on its educational plans and does not appear to have appointed an education spokesperson.

However, his comments indicated the party would overhaul the educational framework. Farage declared: “We face an enormous task with education – absolutely herculean. And, we can’t do it in six months or a year; it requires years, years to turn this around.”

He stated that younger generations are receptive to analytical thought, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Honoring Charlie Kirk, he commented: “My goal for schooling is to foster independent thought – to instruct people that multiple perspectives exist and you make up your own mind rather than current practices where views are labeled good or bad. This is a huge undertaking in both Britain and America.”

The party has conflicted with the UK’s largest teaching union, after Kebede called the party “extremist and prejudiced” and described the leader as “a cheap imitation”.

Farage has accused Kebede of being “an avowed radical” … someone who is absolutely determined that our children should be poisoned through education, their thinking tainted about everything to do with this country” and maintained that the organization seeks to brainwash teenagers against Reform.

Roughly a million individuals are employed in education in the UK, with educators comprising half and the remainder being assistants and administrative personnel. The leading teachers’ organization has hundreds of thousands of members.

Countrywide walkouts over teacher pay and conditions in recent years caused widespread disruption in educational institutions and millions of days of lost learning for children.

During the American gathering, the Reform leader also pledged to help spread the online educational material of the Christian college in the UK. He stated such groups were “key to resistance”, adding that: “I mean this. I will help garner hundreds of thousands, if not millions of youth to these educational programs. I make that commitment tonight and I will follow through.”

The college, a small private Christian college, offers free courses. According to its online description: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is necessary for personal happiness and to maintain the benefits of civil and religious liberty. It offers these beautiful courses for free to all who wish to learn.”
