Star Rejects Anti-Vaccine Position After Voicing Controversial Pandemic Documentary
Liam Neeson has given his voice to a new documentary that casts doubt on the legitimacy of vaccines and commends ex- government figure RFK Jr.
The Feature's Provocative Foundation
Titled "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is adapted from a bestselling book written by a controversial scientist, who became famous during the health crisis for allegations that the virus was caused by a bad strain of the influenza shot.
Her writing partner, the executive producer, has also written books with controversial radio host Alex Jones. Heckenlively wrote online celebrating Neeson's involvement in the project.
A Strong Statement
A spokesperson for Liam Neeson have issued a comment pushing back against suggestions that he supports anti-vaccine views.
"Many recognize that misconduct can exist within the pharmaceutical industry, but that must not be equated to rejection of vaccines," the statement reads. "Liam has never been, and is not, anti-vax. His long work with Unicef highlights his long-held support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."
It continued that the star had no hand in the documentary's messaging and that inquiries about its assertions should be directed to the producers.
Central Claims Featured in the Documentary
As presented, the script provided by Neeson includes several strong claims:
- It claims that pro-vaccine voices have insisted on "unconditional submission" to government bodies.
- It posits that "research has become dangerously politicised."
- RFK Jr is shown stating, "The big problem with vaccines is that they simply are not adequately tested."
- It takes aim at pandemic restrictions, claiming they caused psychological harm that resulted in thousands of lives.
- Regarding the immunizations, it references a view that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "risky trials."
Historical Background and Ongoing Debates
The documentary includes a past television report about AIDS medication trials on children, which was subsequently the topic of a correction by the corporation for violations of guidelines.
In recent weeks, the political figure instructed the Centers for Disease Control to revise its official position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism. This claim is also referenced in the documentary, even with a recent study from the global health body confirming no evidence has been found.
A Previous Position of Endorsement
Contrasting the documentary's tone, Neeson has previously voiced firm endorsement for vaccines in his position as a charity ambassador.
Previously, he described vaccines as "a remarkable human success story," adding that "The conversation about vaccines in the past few years has forgotten how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in human history."
The documentary finishes with Neeson's script proclaiming, "This marks not the end of our journey. It is the start of a fresh chapter."
