Los Angeles witnessed citywide celebrations after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Supporters worldwide united with Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a team has achieved consecutive championships.

Victory Parade Attracts Massive Crowds

Local celebrations included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.

Online footage depict thousands of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many displaying homemade signs and team flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy high.

“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” Shohei Ohtani stated through an translator.

The parade route ended at Dodger Stadium, where the players emerged to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and the artist driving a Pacific blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.

Celebrations began prior to the procession, with Dodgers fans setting off flares in the roads of Downtown Los Angeles on the previous evening.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, named the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, spoke directly about the victory.

“We refuse to lose,” Yamamoto said. “I adore this team. This city means everything to me.”

Mixed Reactions and Community Spirit

In contrast, Mark Walter was met with a cooler welcome at the rally. Recordings from the event seem to depict him walking onstage to a combination of applause and jeers, with negative shouts punctuating his address.

The championship acted as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An approximate 225,000 people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, supporters this year demonstrated equal or greater support.

“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” he remarked. “These fans are crazy. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
