Iranian Forces State Strike on American Facility in Bahrain, As Part of Widespread Retaliatory Strikes.
Tehran reports attacking a US naval base in Manama, as the country executed missile attacks across the region in response for a "massive" and ongoing attack against it by the US and Israel.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone near the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The extent of any destruction is not yet known and the US has not commented.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - all home to American military installations - reported they have shot down incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.
In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was striking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the offensive on the Islamic Republic launched by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That preceding assault - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far focused on sites linked to the Iranian leadership, with President Trump calling on the Iranian people to revolt against the government.

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military stated it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The Ministry of Defence of the UAE said in a statement that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems engaged the projectiles with great effectiveness and destroyed a several projectiles," it added.
It said missile fragments fell on a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some structural damage and fatalities.
The US Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
