Ex- Doctor Charged with Assault Charges Involving Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have stated that a ex- physician now faces charges for committing sexual assaults against 38 individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of acts of sexual assault – including acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
A senior CPS official commented, “Legal teams have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
The charges come after what investigators called a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the 45 charges include:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
