It's difficult for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The highest peaks have long been mastered.

We're talking about the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, targeted by the peak baggers, are the only things left for a squad that has achieved everything.

The fact it required as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It's difficult for their batters to maintain a record if not provided the chance.

Some will argue the argument supporting the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's definite is this century was considerably tougher to see coming.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 happened while she led the batting statistics, but this performance came after six matches in India since the start of last month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"For those following me in the nets, it has been a disappointing period because it appeared I lacked timing at all," commented Healy.

"However when you step out on the field, your fighting spirit activate and you just lock into the match."

Healy's fighting spirit has always been her key asset - and an invaluable trait in taking over from famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, fallen to the emerging pace bowler in all three matches, but this time it merely gave Healy's spark.

One run resulted off the opening delivery and from there Healy was on her way.

"A chance to play and face the challenge with her and simply enjoy myself in that regard, sort of got me going," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at a World Cup - and her ton in 84 balls as she attacked short-pitched balls, hitting 21 fours and three big hits.

By the time she was out Australia needed 66 additional runs at a run-a-ball - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is new territory so I'm pleased we have the assurance to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, if necessary, we are confident we can do it."

Those words will be the final thing competing nations at this tournament should hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will win from any position has only strengthened - this victory coming after win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they left last year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at an important competition.

So strong is her resolve, she later said she wanted to have participated despite the injury.

However although she later admitted those fitness problems have pushed back thoughts of retirement, this World Cup is anticipated as her final tournament as skipper in ODI cricket and she is still to achieve a global event as skipper.

Success in India would lead her to the peak of her final mountain.
